The Pearson Edexcel International A Level addresses this through written Alternative to Practical papers (Units 3 and 6). These papers assess experimental design, data analysis, graph interpretation, error analysis, and scientific method — all the skills developed in laboratory work — through written examination questions rather than physical laboratory tasks.
This is not a reduced standard. UK ENIC confirms that Pearson Edexcel International A Levels are comparable to domestic GCE A Levels on a grade-for-grade basis. Universities — including those requiring Physics for Engineering and Medicine — accept the International A Level on these terms.

Physics is mathematically demanding. Students who struggle with GCSE Mathematics typically find A Level Physics very difficult — the two are closely intertwined. Before starting online A Level Physics, students should have:
Grade 6 or above in GCSE or International GCSE Mathematics
Grade 6 or above in GCSE or International GCSE Physics (or Combined Science)
Comfort with algebraic manipulation, graph analysis, and numerical problem-solving
